FREE NATURAL CLEANING WORKSHOP
What do you think this is?
It’s probably not whatever you think it is.During the 2010 floods in parts of Sindh, Pakistan, this was one side effect. Thousands of spiders climbed up the trees to escape the rising flood waters. Due to the water taking so long to recede, many trees became cocooned in spider webs.
Pretty amazing huh?

ICC volunteers cleaned 10 million lbs of trash from our coasts
One rubber chicken, 117 mattresses, 4,159 candles, and 689,274 utensils. What do all of these things have in common?
They’re all marine debris collected last September at the Ocean Conservancy’s 2012 International Coastal Cleanup®, sponsored in part by the NOAA Marine Debris Program.
The numbers are in: more than 550,000 volunteers came together to collect 10 million pounds of marine debris. In the United States, volunteers found enough bottles that, when stacked end to end, equal the height of 1,000 Empire State Buildings. That’s a lot of trash on our beaches and in our waterways!

I wish we could all have a Whitmuir Farm in our neighbourhood. Buying sustainable & organic food & products without exploiting people or animals feels so right because it is! http://www.whitmuirtheorganicplace.co.uk/
Today I recycled my old swing seat chair into a planter. The roof of the swing seat had long since rotted away, but the chair section was in reasonable condition. I was running short on planting space so I spent the afternoon in the sun making this.
A quick sand, a coat of stain and a liner and its done! I just need some more compost to fill it. There was very little left for the tip, infact I may keep it incase I get a wood burner for the garden at some stage.
I have never worked like this with wood and I made a few mistakes, but it works and its solid.
